Full Job Description
About the role

As a Consulting Manager - Commercial Lending, you will make an impact by reverse-engineering and validating the financial logic supporting a new commercial real estate Advances capability. You will be a valued member of the CRE Servicing team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technology teams, and solution architecture teams to ensure that complex funding, interest, and repayment logic is financially accurate, audit-defensible, and ready for technical implementation.

In this role, you will:
  • Reverse-engineer and validate financial logic for cash advance funding, interest accrual, and multi-party repayment allocation by analyzing existing Excel models, the current Python application, JIRA artifacts, and test cases
  • Apply structured finance and CMBS master-servicing expertise to model many-to-many capital relationships involving multiple private equity or investor funding sources across multiple advances
  • Validate interest calculations, spread capture, funding relationships, and repayment tracing across full, partial, excess, late-payment, and recast scenarios
  • Proactively identify and define edge cases, including short payments, overpayments, late payments, recast triggers, and cross-provider allocation waterfalls, while challenging stakeholder assumptions and closing gaps in the financial logic
  • Translate validated financial logic into implementation-ready workflows, calculation specifications, and data and gap analyses that support solution architecture and the Sprint 1 backlog for a C#/.NET and Azure-based rebuild

Work model - Remote

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a remote position. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.

  • Experience validating full, partial, overpayment, late-payment, and recast scenarios is a must.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile financial logic across Excel models, Python applications, JIRA artifacts, and test cases
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify calculation gaps, inconsistencies, and errors before technical design and implementation
  • Experience proactively identifying edge cases and challenging incomplete business assumptions through informed questioning
  • Ability to produce implementation-ready workflows, calculation specifications, and data and gap analysis documentation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial logic into clear technical requirements

These will help you succeed
  • Experience supporting mortgage servicing discovery or transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of cross-provider allocation waterfalls and repayment tracing
  • Experience developing financially sound and audit-defensible calculation logic
  • Experience translating business and financial requirements into solution architecture and development backlogs
  • Familiarity with C#/.NET and Azure-based application environments
  • Experience working with JIRA artifacts, technical documentation, and test cases
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to independently validate complex financial calculations
  • Consulting leadership skills with the ability to guide stakeholders toward clear, complete, and implementable solutions
