As aConsulting Heater Integrity Engineer, youprovidetechnicalexpertiserelated to inspection, assessment, and integrity optimization of fired equipment assets within the refinery and process industries. Youdeliverconsulting servicesthroughperformance, reliability, and risk assessment whileleveragingsoftware tools such as LifeQuest and CorrectIR. You are collaborating with global teams, supporting product development, mentoring engineers, and driving business development. You are managing client expectations, presenting results, and continuously enhancing technical knowledge toestablishsubject matterexpertise.

As aConsulting Heater Integrity Engineer, youareresponsible for:

  • Providingconsulting services related to the integrity optimization management of fired equipment that includes performance and reliability optimization, fitness for service and remaining life assessment, risk assessment, and failure analysis.

  • Providingtechnical and training consulting services with respect toCorrectIRapplication and implementation, including management of assigned client licenses.

  • Productsupportingand development of software applications related to the integrity optimization management of fired equipment (e.g.,LifeQuestHeater,LifeQuestReformer,CorrectIR) by working closely with the software business team.

  • Providingleadership and mentoring to junior Assessment Engineers

  • Maintainproficienciesin other Advanced Engineering service roles as applicable (e.g., Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, Laboratory testing,FEAand Assessment Engineer) and provide project support for other business teams as requested.

  • Engagingin and contributingto business development within Process Inspection and other business teams as requested.

  • Providingtechnical and project management support to Advanced Engineering and other business teams as requested.

  • Managingclient expectations and delivery of services andcommunicatingto client results and recommendations.

  • Independently seekingout technical knowledge thatestablishesindustry credibility and subject matterexpertisein fired equipment by presenting andparticipatingin industry recognized conferences,trainingand events.

  • Providingrecommendations to drive improvement in processes, technical solutions, inspection andassessment oftechnology, and software applications.

  • Actin accordance withcompany policiesrequiredas part of the engineeringoptimization ofdeliverable activities.

  • Complyingwithall local governmentalrequirementsset forth to perform required duties.

  • Always make safety a top priority.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Fueling your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Haveabachelor27s degree in engineeringor Applied Science.

  • Have5+ years of experience in the process, refinery, or petrochemical industry.

  • Have a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Canada.

  • Havea strongknowledge of API, ASME, and industry codes and standards for inspection and assessment of process equipment.

  • Have proven ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills in industrial environments.

  • Havestrong communicationskills and the ability torepresentthe company professionally with clients.

  • Have the ability tomake independent technical decisions with operational impact.

  • Haveproficiencyin standard and proprietary software tools, with adaptability tonew technologies.

  • Have strong numerical and analytical capabilities.

  • Have excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in teams.

  • Have willingness to travel up to 33% (domestic and international).

  • Haveproficiencyin English (verbal and written).

Working Conditions

  • Working in both office and field environments, including refinery and petrochemical sites.

  • Working around heavy industrial equipment with strict adherence to safety protocols.

  • Working at heights, confined spaces, and varying environmental conditions (hot/cold).

  • Working extended hours in the field (up to 12 616 hours/day during assignments).

  • Lifting upto 70lbsand wearing full protective safety equipment as required.
