Full Job Description
The Consultant, Technology Product Analyst is a portfolio-facing technology consultant within DOTS — Data, Operations, Technology, and Solutions. The role partners with business and technology leaders, particularly Data Solutions stakeholders, to turn complex opportunities and problems into clear direction, actionable plans, and value-focused technology solutions.

As a lead consulting partner, this role facilitates discovery, frames problems, guides initiative elaboration, shapes solution options, and helps move strategic intent into executable work. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders, partner BSAs, Architects, Software Engineering Product Managers (SEPMs), and delivery leaders to clarify outcomes, evaluate trade-offs, manage dependencies, sequence work, and build practical delivery plans.

A key focus is developing and maintaining multi-year business and technology roadmaps that connect strategy, capabilities, initiatives, dependencies, investments, and delivery horizons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technology consulting partner to assigned business leaders, product leaders, and partner BSAs.

  • Lead discovery sessions to understand business goals, user and operational needs, current-state challenges, desired outcomes, constraints, and measures of success.

  • Frame ambiguous problems so stakeholders can align on the opportunity, outcomes, key questions, and decisions needed.

  • Guide initiatives from early concepts to well-shaped work with clear scope, outcomes, capabilities, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and decision points.

  • Translate complex technology topics into clear business implications, options, recommendations, and decisions.

  • Partner with Architects to explore solution options, evaluate trade-offs, and connect business needs to products, platforms, data, integrations, and technology capabilities.

  • Help shape Data Solutions by connecting business questions and operational needs to data products, information flows, analytics, platforms, and solution options.

  • Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps with business partners, Architects, SEPMs, product leaders, and portfolio stakeholders.

  • Translate strategic goals into sequenced views of capabilities, initiatives, outcomes, dependencies, milestones, investment considerations, and delivery timing.

  • Help leaders understand priorities, trade-offs, capacity or funding implications, organizational readiness needs, and the impact of changing direction.

  • Partner with SEPMs and delivery leaders to move well-shaped work into executable plans while preserving the intended business outcome.

  • Clarify ownership, dependencies, risks, and decision needs as work progresses, and communicate progress, issues, changes, and decisions clearly.

  • Contribute to consistent consulting practices, reusable artifacts, and improved ways of working across the team.

  • Supports alignment between technology direction and business strategy by helping connect business objectives to product, capability, and technology considerations.

  • Decomposes business plans and strategic objectives into outcomes, value drivers, capabilities, and analysis artifacts that support product and technology decision-making.

  • Supports strategic planning and early discovery by gathering high-level business requirements, organizing inputs, and helping define scope through meetings, workshops, and cross-functional sessions.

  • Evaluates and helps prioritize business requests by assessing business value, impacts, dependencies, risks, and alignment to existing plans and delivery sequencing.

  • Plans and collaborates with business and technology partners to conduct moderate-complexity analysis and build artifacts that support recommendations and deliverables.

  • Quantifies potential benefits, impacts, risks, and considerations associated with transformation efforts, innovation initiatives, and proposed product or capability changes.

  • Executes defined work within medium- to lower-complexity projects or engagements that result in recommendations, analysis, and business-case support.

  • Applies emerging technology knowledge to assess use cases, analyze feasibility and value, and support ethically sound, data-informed recommendations.

  • Maintains working knowledge of relevant business functions, technology developments, and initiatives to identify where conflicts and synergies exist across products, capabilities, and business needs.
