Description
The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for a retirement plan consulting and client relationship management professional to join our Retirement Plan team as a Consultant in Renton, WA.
How you will make an impact at TPGAs a Consultant with the Retirement team, you will be responsible for retirement plan business development and exceptional customer service. You will serve as a trusted advisor to retirement plan clients, helping organizations navigate plan governance, fiduciary responsibilities, investment oversight, and long-term retirement strategy. You'll work closely with plan committees and stakeholders to provide guidance that supports sound decision-making, strong participant outcomes, and a high level of client service. By building and strengthening client relationships, you'll help ensure clients receive proactive, strategic support while contributing to the continued growth and success of TPG's Retirement Planning practice. You'll also play an important role in participant education and engagement, helping individuals better understand and maximize their retirement benefits.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing relationship management, strategic consulting, and client education. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who brings a positive attitude, communicates confidently with a variety of audiences, and genuinely enjoys helping clients achieve their retirement plan goals.
A typical day in this role- Advise retirement plan sponsors on governance, investments, and plan design
- Build trusted relationships with retirement plan clients and committees
- Lead participant education and retirement planning discussions
- Collaborate with internal service teams to support client needs
- Review investment data and present actionable recommendations
- Develop new relationships within the Seattle retirement plan market
Key detailsTitle: Consultant
Location: Renton, WA preferred (in-office with hybrid remote opportunities). Open to Portland,
Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
Salary Range: $110,000 - $200,000 annually (DOE)
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.
Travel: Minimal; local with periodic overnight travel
Requirements
What you'll bring to the table - Active Series 65 license
- 3-5 years of retirement plan consulting, sales, or relationship management experience
- Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plans and fiduciary principles
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and client relationship skills
- Proven commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business technology tools.
What will make you really stand out- Series 6 or Series 7 license
- CPFA and/or AIF designation
- Experience delivering participant education and guidance
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
- Knowledge of retirement plan investments and investment analysis
