The
Consultant, Purpose-Driven Initiatives plays an important role within GreenShield Cares, supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of enterprise-wide initiatives that advance GreenShield's purpose and social impact priorities. This role helps translate purpose into action by supporting initiatives that engage employees, strengthen awareness of GreenShield's impact, and contribute to the organization's mission of Better Health for All.
The Consultant supports the delivery of purpose-driven activities across the enterprise, including employee and community engagement as well as purpose-driven communications, reports, certifications, events, and awards. The role is responsible for coordinating timelines, logistics, materials, stakeholder inputs, approvals, and follow-ups to ensure effective execution of purpose-driven initiatives.
The Consultant also supports database management, vendor engagement, information management, reporting, and process documentation across purpose-driven initiatives. Through this work, the Consultant helps maintain accurate data, strengthen reporting, improve operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement.
The Consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams, including GreenShield Cares, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, People & Culture, vendors, and community partners, to support employee engagement and purpose-driven initiatives that contribute to GreenShield's broader social mission.
Key Accountabilities- Purpose-Driven Initiative Planning and Execution (30%): Support the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise-wide purpose-driven initiatives that advance GreenShield's purpose and social impact priorities. This includes coordinating timelines, logistics, materials, stakeholder inputs, approvals, and follow-ups to support effective delivery of communications campaigns, events, reports, certifications, awards, and other purpose-led activities.
- Employee Engagement and Activation (30%): Manage employee engagement initiatives to support employees across GreenShield in creating shared value through day-to-day job responsibilities and engagement in local communities. Responsibilities include management and coordination of the GreenShield Cares Ambassador program, giving and volunteering platforms and campaigns, GreenShield Cares Award, and purpose-driven education and engagement events.
- Information Management, Reporting, and Analysis (25%): Maintain accurate data, documentation, records, trackers, and digital assets across purpose-driven initiatives. This role manages key vendor relationships as well as internal systems and processes to support data quality, reporting, reconciliation, analysis, governance, and continuous improvement to enable efficient operations and informed decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement, and Communications Support (15%): Facilitate community donations, disaster response, and stakeholder communication processes through organized coordination, documentation, tracking, inbox management, stakeholder follow-up, and reporting. This role supports timely, professional, and service-oriented communication with internal and external stakeholders while coordinating inputs, stories, data, approvals, and materials that help showcase GreenShield's impact as a purpose-led organization.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR- 2-4 years of relevant experience in social impact, corporate responsibility, nonprofit, employee engagement, communications, program coordination, community investment, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience supporting programs or initiatives from planning through execution, including coordinating logistics, timelines, stakeholder inputs, materials, follow-ups, and reporting.
- Experience managing online platforms, databases, trackers, or systems related to volunteering, giving, grants, employee engagement, financial tracking, or reporting.
- Experience supporting employee engagement, giving, volunteering, community investment, or purpose-driven initiatives is considered an asset.
Education- A post-secondary degree related to business administration, marketing, or social impact is required.
Skills and abilities- Project Coordination: Ability to coordinate multiple activities, timelines, logistics, approvals, and stakeholder inputs while keeping work organized and moving forward.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information clearly and tailor messages for employees, internal teams, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborative working style with the ability to build trusted relationships, manage inquiries, support partner stewardship, and work effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Management and Reporting: Data-literate and outcomes-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records, conduct data quality checks, interpret results, and prepare clear reports, trackers, and updates.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational instincts, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate moving pieces, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality documentation.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Comfortable operating in ambiguity, able to identify practical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and adapt as priorities, timelines, or stakeholder needs evolve.
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to maintain trackers, analyze data, support dashboards, prepare reports, and develop clear presentation materials.
- Commitment to Social Impact: Deep alignment with GreenShield Cares' mission and a demonstrated commitment to purpose-driven work, health equity, and social impact.
- Language Skills: English is required. French bilingualism is considered an asset.
