Consultant, Cybersecurity and Regulatory Strategy

The evolving threats in the cybersecurity and resiliency space demand a broad team of professionals to bring security expertise and business knowledge while partnering with senior technical leaders across the Product Group to help enable the continued innovation in our offers, engineering and R&D activities, and to ensure continued and increasing protection of these activities and efforts while translating increasingly technical and stringent regional cybersecurity regulations into actionable product and engineering requirements.

Join us as a Consultant, Cybersecurity and Regulatory Strategy in our Product Group Business Unit Security Officer team.

Responsibilities

What you'll achieve:

The Cybersecurity and Regulatory Strategy Consultant will have the responsibility to support Dell's Security and Resiliency Organization (SRO) and the Product Groups of Dell as they build, scale, and modernize their offers, processes and services and support. You will serve as a security subject matter expert, driving adoption of leading security practices that reduce cyber risk and build resilience into our offers, while translating global regulatory requirements into product architecture that keeps Dell ahead of market-entry demands.

You will:
  • Provide expert guidance to the Product Group teams on complex cybersecurity challenges that require multifaceted solutions.
  • Lead Secure by Design governance across the product portfolio, embedding threat modeling and secure development practices into engineering workflows shifting risk reduction upstream and proactive.
  • Serve as a Security and Resiliency Business Partner to senior executives, bridging their team with broader SRO initiatives.
  • Define technical specifications and design patterns that operationalize enterprise security standards across engineering teams at scale.
  • Partner with offer teams throughout the Offer Lifecycle Process (OLP) to ensure new offers are architected to meet global regulatory requirements from inception.
  • Communicate technical security risks into business and product impact for executives, driving engineering teams toward concrete design remediations.
  • Represent the organization externally with regulators, industry bodies, and government stakeholders on cybersecurity policy, including conferences and regulatory forums.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • 15+ years of Technical Leadership experience driving security deliverables in large technology firms or public/government institutions with a global impact.
  • Direct experience translating security and regulatory requirements into technical architecture and engineering roadmaps across a large, multi-product technology portfolio.
  • Demonstrated experience building security requirements into customer-facing offers and services, ensuring we are meeting global and regional cyber compliance requirements.
  • Experience identifying, tracking, communicating, and when needed, escalating project risks.
  • Able to effectively perform knowledge transfers and train peers and subordinates regarding areas of expertise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. With emphasis on technical writing skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical teams.
  • Led the technical translation of regulations such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), EU RED Cyber, White House Executive Order 14028, and NIST SP 800-218 into product security requirements and engineering implementation plans.


Desirable Requirements
  • Master's degree required; PhD (completed or in-progress/ABD) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical field of study


Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $176,400 - 228,00
