In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Experience of developing with core Java
  • Demonstrate good understanding of OO principles, design patterns, n-tier architecture
  • Understanding the SDLC (software development life cycle)
  • Relational database skills (SQL, Sybase, DB2, Oracle)
  • Experience in these technologies is helpful, but not essential: Python, Perl, Shell, C#, AngularJS, Scala
  • Comfortable developing on Linux


What you'll bring to the role:

En travaillant au sein d’équipes Agile, vous participerez à l’ensemble du cycle de vie du développement logiciel. Vous mettrez à profit vos compétences d’analyse pour comprendre les enjeux, concevoir et développer des solutions, tout en contribuant à l’évolution de nos pratiques DevOps grâce à l’automatisation des tests, des déploiements et de la surveillance. Tous les postes au sein de Commodities Tech offrent l’occasion de collaborer directement avec divers intervenants de haut niveau de la division Technologie et leurs partenaires d’affaires. En tant que membre d’une équipe mondiale, vous collaborerez également avec des collègues situés dans différentes régions. Vous travaillerez en partenariat avec d’autres équipes d’ingénierie afin de comprendre les solutions technologiques offertes et la façon dont elles peuvent être appliquées et mises à profit dans le cadre de nos solutions. Au bureau de Montréal, vous ferez partie d’un important pôle technologique situé dans des locaux à la fine pointe de la technologie, conçus pour favoriser le travail collaboratif. Ce que vous ferez dans ce rôle :

Expérience du développement avec Java (version de base).
Démontrer une bonne compréhension des principes de la programmation orientée objet (POO), des modèles de conception et de l’architecture multicouche (n-tiers).
Compréhension du cycle de vie du développement logiciel (SDLC).
Compétences en bases de données relationnelles (SQL, Sybase, DB2, Oracle).
Une expérience des technologies suivantes constitue un atout, sans être essentielle : Python, Perl, Shell, C#, AngularJS, Scala.
Être à l’aise avec le développement sous Linux.
