Description

About the position...

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for successfully leading assigned residential and commercial projects related to the company's construction division. We are searching for an individual within the Greater Harrisburg area to support our ongoing and future projects.
  • Oversee the entire project and all phases from start to finish by serving as the primary on-site representative while maintaining schedule to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with ownership changes, architectural plans, engineering specifications, and building codes.
  • Monitor material usage, equipment, and labor costs.
  • Facilitate site meetings and progress updates.
  • Communicate any changes in plans or schedules to relevant parties.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are obtained and documented.
  • Address conflicts between trades, schedules, or site logistics.
  • Inspect work at all stages to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Identify deficiencies and direct corrective actions on site.
  • Coordinates with Architects and Engineers for approvals and walkthroughs
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Coordinate the sequencing of trades and deliveries to optimize workflow.
  • Anticipate delays and proactively adjust schedules to stay on track.
  • Responsible for stock control, including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, assigned company assets, and expandable items on site.
  • Participate in completing incident/accident reports if necessary.
  • Participates in leading daily toolbox talks and safety briefings with the Construction Foreman.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.


Requirements

What we are looking for from you...
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • 10+ years of combined trade-related commercial and/or residential construction experience is required
  • Ability to run projects between $15-25 million independently
  • Must have previous on-site supervisory experience, overseeing direct reports and subcontractors
  • Ability to work from construction specifications or blueprints is required
  • Safety Oriented - OSHA Certification is required
  • Proficient in technology and programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Adobe, or other construction software
  • Ability to complete time sheets and other company documentation via mobile device
  • Must possess highly effective verbal and written communication skills
