How You'll Contribute

As a Construction Superintendent, you will help us reach our strategic growth goals by supervising all phases of the construction project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise all construction activities for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specification and schedules.
  • Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors to develop project plans, schedules, budgets and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, including monitoring work progress, quality and safety compliance, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues or risks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Enforce project safety policies and procedures, conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety requirements.
  • Manage project schedules and timelines, including coordinating work sequences, tracking progress, and updating schedules as needed.
  • Resolve construction related issues and conflicts that arise during the project and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports and as-built drawings and ensure that all project records are properly organized and maintained.
  • Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to address project needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture on-site.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience. 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques, including building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software / Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement action plans.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks and managing project documentation.
  • Large project experience preferred. ($20 M +)
  • Ground up construction experience required.
  • Diverse project experience important.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License in good standing.
