Trueline is seeking a
Commercial/Retail Superintendent to join their team in the greater Seattle area. This role focuses on leading occupied retail and grocery projects, offering a stable, team-driven environment with long-term career potential.
What You'll Do as the Superintendent:- Lead day-to-day field operations on active construction sites
- Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics to keep projects on track
- Oversee work in occupied retail environments with a strong focus on cleanliness and safety
- Coordinate night work and phased construction to minimize disruption to operations
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and specifications
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers and stakeholders on progress and issues
- Maintain jobsite organization, safety compliance, and productivity
- Support successful project delivery from start through completion
Must-Haves as the Superintendent:- 5+ years of superintendent or lead field experience in commercial construction
- Experience with tenant improvement (TI), retail, or occupied renovation projects
- Proven ability to run a jobsite independently and manage subcontractors
- Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and site coordination
- Ability to work in active, customer-facing environments with attention to detail
- Stable work history (no frequent job hopping)
Nice-to-Haves as the Superintendent:- Experience with grocery store construction or remodels
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Washington or Oregon (project-dependent)
- Experience with night work or phased construction in occupied spaces
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
This Role Offers:- Base salary typically ranging from $120,000 to $130,000
