Construction Superintendent

The Opportunity:

Legacy Professional Services is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on hyperscale data center construction projects from mobilization through final turnover.

In this role, you'll provide day-to-day leadership for all on-site construction activities, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating multiple trades, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and client requirements. Working closely with project management, MEP teams, commissioning specialists, and client representatives, you'll play a critical role in delivering complex mission-critical facilities on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead daily field operations for hyperscale data center construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractors across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty trades.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork across the jobsite.
  • Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and trade supervision while providing leadership and mentorship.
  • Manage project schedules by coordinating work sequencing, look-ahead planning, phased turnovers, and critical milestone execution.
  • Coordinate closely with MEP teams and commissioning personnel to support system installation, testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and owner turnover.
  • Lead quality inspections, resolve field issues, and ensure all work complies with project specifications, approved submittals, and client standards.
  • Oversee site logistics, material deliveries, access control, laydown areas, and jobsite operations to maximize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower tracking, progress documentation, and communication with project leadership.
  • Lead punch-list completion, final inspections, project closeout, and owner handover activities.


Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Eight or more years of commercial construction experience with progressively increasing field leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience leading field operations on large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or hyperscale data center construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, MEP coordination, commissioning processes, and phased project turnover.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, field personnel, and multiple concurrent scopes of work.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading hyperscale data center, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical construction projects.
  • Experience supporting integrated systems testing (IST), commissioning, and owner turnover.
  • Familiarity with fast-track construction delivery methods and pull-planning processes.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
