What You'll Do
As the Superintendent, you'll serve as the primary field leader, ensuring every aspect of the project is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all field operations for one large project or multiple commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays.
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules to keep projects on track.
- Lead jobsite meetings with subcontractors, owners, architects, and project teams.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress tracking.
- Manage punch lists and oversee projects through successful closeout.
- Participate in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and subcontractor coordination.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor change orders, project impacts, and field productivity to support overall project profitability.
- Mentor junior field personnel and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction supervision experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, quality control, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Experience with ground-up commercial construction.
- Background in retail, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, corporate interiors, or mixed-use projects.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.
