We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Construction Superintendent to lead daily field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to our quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who takes ownership of the jobsite, communicates effectively with subcontractors and project teams, anticipates problems, and keeps projects moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily construction activities at assigned job sites.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and field personnel.
- Maintain the project schedule and proactively identify potential delays or conflicts.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers regarding schedule, workforce, materials, changes, and project priorities.
- Conduct daily site walks and verify work quality and progress.
- Ensure subcontractors complete work according to plans, specifications, and CPM standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsite.
- Enforce OSHA requirements and CPM Builders' safety policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and reinforce safe work practices.
- Identify field issues early and communicate solutions promptly.
- Coordinate inspections and assist with punch-list completion and project closeout.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress documentation, and site records.
- Represent CPM Builders professionally when interacting with clients, architects, inspectors, property management, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Be available for travel and flexible with your schedule based on project requirements.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a comparable field leadership role.
- Commercial construction experience required; retail interior construction experience strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, sequencing, and field operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
- Comfortable using technology for daily reports, project communication, drawings, and documentation.
- Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel to project locations as required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
