Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Construction Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day field execution, safety oversight, and coordination of construction activities in support of project objectives. This position will be located on site in Louisiana and will initially support early works activities.
Key Accountabilities:- Ensure safety is the top priority in all construction planning and field execution
- Oversee contractor field activities, ensuring work is executed in alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate daily communication with contractors and field teams to maintain progress and resolve issues.
- Safety - Support CWLNG safety programs and ensure contractors follow all HSSE procedures on site
- Quality Assurance - Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, specifications, and inspection/testing requirements
- Coordinate and support inspections for earthworks, civil, piling concrete, marine and structural work to ensure compliance with specifications
- Support field inspectors and assist with resource coordination
- Provide on-site problem solving and technical guidance based on experience
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures
- Track and communicate construction progress, constraints, and field issues to Construction Management
- Provide accurate and timely daily/weekly report, progress update and issues identified to the construction management team
- Coordinate daily activities between EPC contractors and other Owner representatives on site
QualificationsEducation, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Science or a relevant field required. Equivalent field experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant construction experience
- LNG or large Oil & Gas project experience required
- Gulf Coast experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong commitment to HSSE and safe work practices
- Strong field leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing field conditions
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, Civil/Structural, Electrical, piping isometrics, etc.)
- Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Ability to review schedules and support field execution planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
