Position Overview:We are looking for a seasoned Construction Superintendent with specific experience in apartment renovations and new construction. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensure all work is compliant with safety standards, and maintain the highest quality of workmanship. A crucial aspect of this role is ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage all on-site operations related to apartment renovations and new construction, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and skilled laborers, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of blueprints, project documentation, and building codes related to multi-family residential construction and renovation.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Document and report on project status, issues, and resolutions to the Project Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
- Address on-site challenges promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Establish and promote a culture of safety on site, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to by all personnel.
- Organize and manage materials and equipment needed for projects, ensuring efficient and timely use.
Qualifications:- Manage and be a leader onsite
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a construction leadership role, specifically in apartment renovations and new construction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, construction materials, and budgeting related to multi-family residential buildings.
- Proficient with project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions:This role involves on-site work at construction locations and potential exposure to outdoor elements. The role may involve physical labor and adherence to strict safety protocols. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
