What you will do

The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day field operations of low voltage and fire alarm construction projects across various job sites within the United States. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with all applicable codes and company standards. Fire alarm system experience is strongly preferred. This position requires frequent travel and the ability to lead teams across multiple project locations.

How you will do it

  • Supervise and coordinate all onsite low voltage activities, including fire alarm, security, access control, and related systems

  • Lead field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure proper installation and project execution

  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance and identify potential issues

  • Ensure all work meets NEC, NFPA (especially NFPA 72), local codes, and client specifications

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and enforce company safety policies on all job sites

  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and clients

  • Conduct site walkthroughs, inspections, and quality control checks

  • Resolve field-related issues, conflicts, and scheduling challenges proactively

  • Track labor productivity, materials, and progress against project timelines

  • Provide daily/weekly reporting on project status, manpower, and milestones

  • Assist in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting systems, particularly fire alarm systems

  • Support project closeouts, including documentation, punch lists, and inspections

What we look for

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in low voltage construction or electrical systems

  • Proven experience supervising field operations or crews on commercial construction sites

  • Fire alarm installation and commissioning experience strongly preferred

  • Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems (NFPA 72), electrical codes (NEC), and low voltage systems

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents

  • Familiarity with testing, inspection, and commissioning processes

  • Certifications (Preferred):

  • NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems)

  • OSHA 30

  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, etc.)

Skills and competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

  • Problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Proficient in basic computer skills (MS Office, project reporting tools)

Travel

  • Extensive travel required (up to 75–100%) within the United States

  • Ability to work at remote project sites for extended periods as needed

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $73,000-101,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
