DescriptionCenCore is seeking an experienced
Construction Security Project Manager to lead security-focused construction activities for secure facilities and cleared site operations in Manassas, VA. This role coordinates project planning, field execution, security system scopes, stakeholder communication, and site-level compliance to help ensure construction security requirements are delivered safely, accurately, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction project management experience, strong knowledge of physical security systems, and the ability to serve as a trusted liaison between ownership, general contractors, subcontractors, security teams, and customer stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead construction security project planning, coordination, and execution for secure construction, data center, or controlled facility environments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between CenCore leadership, customer representatives, general contractors, subcontractors, security consultants, and site security personnel.
- Coordinate security system scopes including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage systems, and related technology requirements.
- Track project milestones, schedules, deliverables, risks, and action items to support timely project completion and operational readiness.
- Review drawings, submittals, project documentation, work plans, and field updates to identify security, quality, safety, or compliance concerns.
- Support construction security requirements tied to secure facility builds, controlled access areas, SCIF-related environments, and cleared construction operations.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor work activity to help ensure alignment with approved plans, customer requirements, safety expectations, and security procedures.
- Document project progress, site conditions, issues, incidents, and corrective actions through clear reports, logs, meeting notes, and stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate with site security managers, construction surveillance personnel, access control teams, and project leadership to resolve issues quickly and maintain mission continuity.
- Support project closeout, turnover, punch-list tracking, documentation packages, and final readiness activities as required.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship required; must provide a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in secure construction, data center, government, defense, or mission-critical environments.
- 3+ years of experience supporting security systems, low-voltage technology scopes, physical security, or construction security operations.
- Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection systems, secure facility requirements, and site security procedures.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly with customers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with project management and construction coordination tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Microsoft Office, or similar systems.
- Strong documentation, reporting, issue tracking, and follow-up skills.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Security Management, or a related field.
- PMP, PSP, CPP, or related project management or security certification.
- Experience supporting SCIF construction, ICD 705 requirements, controlled access areas, or cleared construction programs.
- Experience coordinating secure facility buildouts, access control installations, surveillance systems, and technical security scopes.
- Prior experience supporting government contracts, defense customers, or intelligence community environments.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements- Ability to work in active construction, secure facility, or controlled access environments.
- Ability to walk job sites, inspect work areas, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods as needed.
- Ability to wear required PPE and follow all site safety and security procedures.
- Ability to review documentation, participate in site meetings, and provide clear written and verbal updates.
