Lead safety excellence across some of the Midwest's most complex automotive, industrial, and manufacturing construction projects. As a Safety Manager, you'll drive safety strategy, OSHA compliance, risk management, workforce development, and operational excellence across Michigan and Indiana, helping create an extraordinary safety culture while partnering with project teams, field leadership, and clients to deliver world-class results.

Join The Boldt Company as a Safety Manager supporting automotive manufacturing, industrial construction, and facility projects across Marion, Fort Wayne, Kokomo, and Bedford, Indiana. We're looking for a safety leader who thrives in the field and is passionate about protecting people, building strong relationships, and driving an exceptional safety culture. In this role, you'll partner with project teams to lead OSHA compliance, incident investigations, contractor safety, safety training, audits, risk management, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space programs, and project safety planning.

This is more than a typical construction safety role. You'll enjoy the stability of supporting long-term projects throughout Indiana while helping shape the future growth of a regional safety team. If you're an experienced Construction Safety Manager, Site Safety Manager, EHS Manager, HSE Manager, Safety Professional, or Industrial Safety Leader with experience in automotive, manufacturing, industrial, power, energy, or heavy construction environments, we want to hear from you. Candidates with OSHA 30, OSHA 510/511, CHST, ASP, or CSP certifications are especially encouraged to apply.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Construction management or another related field required.
  • Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
    considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least five years' experience in construction and/or industrial safety required.
  • First aid and/or CPR certification preferred.
  • Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.
  • A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons' ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company,
    including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes
  • Passion for building a strong safety culture and supporting high-performing project teams.


Nice to Have

  • Develop and implement project-specific safety plans, goals, and strategies in partnership with site leadership and subcontractors.
  • Lead safety planning, training, and hazard assessments to ensure employees are prepared to work safely and in compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and equipment reviews to identify hazards and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate incidents, unsafe conditions, and regulatory inspections while managing documentation, corrective actions, and workers' compensation cases.
  • Serve as the project's safety expert and mentor by analyzing safety trends, supporting high-risk activities, and promoting a strong safety culture across the jobsite.


Compensation

Target Hiring Range: $98000- $128000 annually

Boldt recognizes that experience, expertise, and specialized skills create value. The target hiring range for this position is $98000- $128000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. The salary is negotiable as minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Candidates whose experience or expertise substantially exceed the requirements of the role are encouraged to apply, as compensation may be reviewed based on individual qualifications.
