Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Embrace ITAC's Core Values in all aspects of the job.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for EHS initiatives on various projects.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of Site-Specific EHS Plans that comply with regulatory requirements and ITAC standards.
  • Mentor less experienced EHS Coordinators and serve as a key resource for EHS related queries.
  • Oversee incident investigations, developing reports and action plans for corrective measures.
  • Conduct safety training sessions for project managers and field employees, fostering a culture of safety.
  • Evaluate field operations and implement improvements to enhance safety practices and adherence to regulations.
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections of projects, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform air quality monitoring, sampling, and analysis as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with other EHS personnel and project teams to convey safety concerns and solutions.

Requirements

Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in safety coordination or related roles, with a focus on the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of OSHA standards and EHS regulations
  • Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective safety training and reporting
  • Proven ability to analyze complex safety incidents and develop effective solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and compliance
  • Physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel to various project sites

Certifications and Training Qualifications - Preferred / Desired
  • OSHA 500 Certification - Outreach trainer
  • CPR and First Aid certifications
  • CHST - Certified Safety & Health Technician
  • CSP - Certified Safety Professional
  • Other relevant EHS certifications
  • Bilingual is preferred, not required
