Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction EHS with experience in large, complex projects, especially in data centers or mission-critical construction.
• Expert knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and safety protocols for energized systems.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce safety standards among GCs and subcontractors across various projects.
• Experience building and leading safety teams at multiple active sites.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CSP certification highly desirable along with OSHA 500/510 and First Aid/CPR certificates.
• Availability for extensive travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce construction safety standards for the build program.
• Ensure GCs and contractors adhere to organizational safety guidelines.
• Oversee risk assessment, job planning, and safety performance assessments.
• Manage safety protocols for high-risk construction activities, including work at heights and energized environments.
• Supervise safe energization and commissioning practices in compliance with NFPA standards.
• Conduct site audits and ensure prompt correction of safety issues.
• Evaluate and qualify contractors based on their safety track record before project commencement.
• Lead investigations into incidents and perform root cause analyses, sharing findings for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safety practices align with project timelines and goals.
• Develop and mentor a team of project safety managers across sites.
• Report on safety performance metrics and escalate risks as needed.
• Promote a culture of safety with a focus on empowerment and communication.
