What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning and implementation of construction projects, including facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Assist the Estimator in the preparation of project budgets
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and clients as required, adapting to the specific requirements of each project
  • Develop full scale project plans, define project tasks and resource requirements, and assemble and coordinate project staff
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects including budget, resource allocation, and scope
  • Plan, schedule, and adhere to project timelines, tracking deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Provide direction and support to the project team, managing vendors and staff throughout the project lifecycle
  • Regularly monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders, presenting reports that define progress, problems, and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Perform project evaluations and assess results
  • Communicate regularly with the design team and client throughout all phases of the project
  • Conduct quality assurance across all aspects of project delivery
  • Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as required


Where You'll Work

This is a hybrid role based out of [Location], combining office work with frequent travel to active construction sites. Site visits are a significant and regular component of this role, and the Construction Project Manager must be comfortable working in active construction environments and managing on-site activity across multiple projects. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Travel within and between regions may be required depending on project needs.

What You Bring

Education and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a construction project management role
  • Proven negotiation experience across vendors, subcontractors, and clients in a construction project context
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects from planning through to delivery
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical plan drawings and construction documents
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Post-secondary education in construction management, project management, or a related trade is considered an asset
  • PMP certification is considered an asset
  • Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset
