DescriptionMarkon is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to serve as an Onsite Owner's Representative for complex construction, tenant fit-outs, and infrastructure projects for Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) for a DoW client
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource and support the Project Manager on assigned design and construction projects.
- Assist the Project Manager with cradle-to-grave project execution, supporting all phases of the project lifecycle from planning and design through construction and closeout.
- Oversee, coordinate, and inspect the work of design consultants, contractors, and construction teams performing work across multiple concurrent projects.
- Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, government representatives, contractors, and other project stakeholders to proactively identify, resolve, and mitigate project issues, risks, and schedule impacts.
- Assist in preparing and issuing formal correspondence, notifications, and directives to contractors and project stakeholders as directed by the Project Manager.
- Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including contract modifications, reports, meeting minutes, technical correspondence, and other project-related deliverables.
- Investigate and evaluate issues affecting project scope, schedule, budget, or cost; coordinate with project stakeholders to develop recommendations and provide technical guidance to the Project Manager and Contracting Officer.
- Participate in recurring project meetings and conference calls to provide status updates, discuss project progress, resolve outstanding issues, and coordinate upcoming activities with project
- Review government- and contractor-produced designs, plans, specifications, shop drawings, and other technical documentation to evaluate constructability, logistics, and security considerations.
- Assess a variety of project deliverables, including design-build submissions, government-contracted design packages, construction modifications, change proposals, and contractor/vendor shop drawings.
- Evaluate proposed construction methods, materials, equipment, and project activities to ensure work can be executed efficiently and effectively within the operational constraints of the project site.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams to identify constructability challenges, recommend practical solutions, and support successful project execution.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports documenting technical findings, review comments, constructability assessments, and recommendations for government stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a U.S. Public Trust background check.
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of related work experience in facility management and construction, of which at least 5 years must be strictly technical in nature.
- BS degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering Physics, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- OR Equivalency: 15 years of dedicated construction-related technical experience accompanied by active licensure as a Master Craftsman, Journeyman, or General Contractor.
- Critical Skills:Energetic self-starter capable ofoperatingindependently or as part of a team with minimal direct guidance; highly accountable for quality deliverables.
Preferred:
- Advanced Education in Engineering or PMP certification
- Professional Registration:Active Professional Engineer (PE) license orotherrelevant professional licensure.

Salary RangeUSD $125,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
