Full Job Description
Position Summary

ISI is seeking one full-time onsite Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades.

The Project Manager will provide project management support for EHRM-related infrastructure projects and serve as the primary liaison between VA stakeholders, design professionals, contractors, and project teams. The Project Manager shall provide oversight of project scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder coordination throughout the construction phase of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor project financial data and budget performance
  2. Review monthly pay applications and construction expenditures
  3. Track project schedules and identify schedule risks and delays
  4. Conduct and support weekly and bi-weekly project meetings
  5. Coordinate project stakeholders and facilitate issue resolution
  6. Review change requests and provide impact analysis
  7. Support testing, inspections, and commissioning activities
  8. Monitor contractor progress and compliance with project requirements
  9. Review and coordinate RFIs and project correspondence
  10. Maintain project documentation and records
  11. Develop and maintain Project Tracking Reports (PTRs)
  12. Support preparation and submission of project procurement packages
  13. Support claims avoidance, analysis, and dispute resolution activities
  14. Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action item logs
  15. Provide weekly and monthly project status reports

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Four (4) year degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field and five (5) years of relevant Project Management experience

OR
  • Nine (9) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience managing construction projects in healthcare environments
  • Experience supporting construction-phase project delivery
  • Experience managing project budgets and financial reporting
  • Experience reviewing construction schedules and identifying critical path issues
  • Experience facilitating project meetings and coordinating stakeholders
  • Experience supporting commissioning and project closeout activities
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and change management processes
  • Experience working in active healthcare facilities and minimizing disruption to operations
  • Familiarity with federal construction projects and VA project delivery processes preferred
  • Ability to present three projects of similar size and complexity where the candidate served in a comparable role
  • Experience with EHRM, healthcare modernization, or infrastructure upgrades preferred

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust (NACI)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain VA PIV credential
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Brooklyn, NY
  • Ability to support occasional after-hours work as required

This job operates in a professional office environment, active hospital, and active construction sites. An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.   • Full-time, onsite at Brooklyn VA Medical Center.
  • Approximately 8 hours per day. Work may require occasional evening, weekend, or after-hours support to align with contractor operations and project milestones.
  • Must be required to occasionally move and lift 20-30 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb, erect and maintain balance on a 30-40 pound ladder.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary computer position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk up to 1.5 miles per day between buildings.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be willing to work in external environments of rain, high heat and significant cold.
  • Must be able navigate active construction sites containing uneven ground, debris, and active construction hazards such as sharp objects, electrical hazards, and potential fall hazards.
  • Must be able to occasionally go into confined spaces and crawl.
