Job Summary

The Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of industrial contracting projects from estimating and bidding through execution and closeout ensuring safety, compliance, and profitability. This position plays a key role in client relationships, project planning, and leadership of field teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage insulation, scaffolding, coatings, and abatement projects from start to finish.
  • Lead and participate in job walks, site assessments, and client meetings to define project scope, identify challenges, and gather bid data.
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, and bids for upcoming projects, ensuring competitive pricing and accurate takeoffs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to meet deadlines and financial targets.
  • Supervise on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies to coordinate all project phases and resolve issues promptly.
  • Oversee material procurement, logistics, and workforce planning to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and progress reports to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards and mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare reports, project documentation, and cost summaries for management and clients.
  • Support business development efforts by assisting with pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and estimating documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Minimum 4-6 years of experience in industrial construction, or specialty trade project management. Experience managing multi-discipline industrial service projects (insulation, coatings, scaffolding, or abatement) preferred.

Skills and Certifications
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred
• Certifications in asbestos supervision or industrial coatings preferred.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily on industrial job sites with some office-based planning. Environment includes indoor and outdoor exposure to varying temperatures, heights, dust, and noise levels. Protective equipment required includes hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and steel-toed boots.

Physical Demands

Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including standing (65%), walking (30%), and sitting (5%). Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs, and climbing or kneeling as needed. Frequent handling and hand manipulation are required for documentation and tool use.

Additional Information

This position may require overtime, weekend work, or travel to multiple job sites. Project Managers may be on-call during critical shutdowns or turnaround periods.

Must be authorized to work in the United States, pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driving record check.
