Full Job Description
MCI is currently seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager based out of Effingham, Illinois. Our Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing various DOT projects ranging in size and scope. The Project Manager should expect to help with project execution by overseeing projects at a high level. In addition, the Project Manager must have the ability to manage crews on a daily basis, build and maintain effective customer relationships, develop and oversee project schedules, coordinate materials & subcontractors, and keep costs within budget while operating within our safety guidelines and quality standards. The Project Manager should have the ability to effectively present information and answer questions for managers, customers and employees. In addition, this role also requires the ability to use Microsoft Project & Excel. What makes you successful in this position? - Background with both field and office experience, as this role will be 50/50 onsite/in-office - Previous DOT project knowledge that includes the ability to read plans and specs for IA/IL DOT plans - Previous project knowledge/experience with DOT forms, documentation and testing - A college degree in Construction Management or Engineering, with demonstrated experience as a Project Manager or Estimator; or equivalent combination of experience and education - A self-starter who displays a passion for growth & learning - Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and all tests pursuant to the company's Drug and Alcohol-Free workplace policy and procedures.
