Construction Project Executive

Epstein is seeking a Construction Project Executive to join our growing Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished construction professional who enjoys leading complex projects, developing high-performing teams, building strong client relationships, and overseeing the successful delivery of large industrial and manufacturing projects.

Overview

Epstein is seeking a Construction Project Executive to join the management team of our Construction group and provide leadership and oversight of our in-house Design-Build project teams.

The Construction Project Executive will typically oversee Project Managers across one or more projects and is responsible for ensuring successful project execution while maintaining Epstein's standards for quality, schedule, cost, safety, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have extensive construction project management experience, a strong understanding of Design-Build delivery and construction practices, and the demonstrated ability to lead people and effectively manage resources. This individual will oversee project quality, mentor and develop staff, maintain strong client relationships, and collaborate closely with Epstein's multidisciplinary Architecture, Engineering, and Construction teams.

Large industrial and/or manufacturing project experience is required. Experience in food and beverage or cold storage facilities is a plus. Design-Build experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide executive leadership and oversight for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, objectives, client expectations, and Epstein standards.
• Oversee and support Project Managers and project teams across one or more projects.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve construction project processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor, train, and develop Construction team members to support individual and organizational growth.
• Ensure effective coordination of project requirements and lead collaboration among Construction, Architecture, Engineering, and other project disciplines.
• Review project reporting systems and procedures and provide clients and senior management with clear reporting on project progress, schedule, cost, risks, and other key performance indicators.
• Develop, promote, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and support project pursuits, including preconstruction and business development efforts.
• Build and maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Develop subcontractor interest, review prequalification information, and support development of qualified bidder lists.
• Provide oversight for the preparation of bid packages and the competitive bidding process, including bid receipt, analysis, clarification, and award recommendations.
• Oversee the negotiation, award, and administration of subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Establish and monitor project budgets, costs, schedules, and overall project performance.
• Conduct regular jobsite inspections and participate in project progress meetings.
• Provide oversight of project documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings, project issuances, and closeout documentation.
• Lead or prepare project status reports to effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and supervisory oversight of project and site personnel.
• Promote effective teamwork and establish strong working relationships with colleagues across Epstein's disciplines and offices.
• Proactively identify and address project risks and issues to support successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 12-20+ years of successful construction project management experience, including progressively increasing leadership responsibility.
• Significant experience managing large industrial and/or manufacturing construction projects.
• Experience successfully delivering Design-Build projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Project Managers, project teams, and site personnel.
• Strong knowledge of construction engineering principles, including materials, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and estimating.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, including contracts, project accounting, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Understanding of construction insurance, liability considerations, risk management, and claims avoidance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, contracts, and related project documentation.
• Strong knowledge of field construction systems, practices, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Experience with Procore and Microsoft Project.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project and client expectations.
• Project-related travel may be required.

Compensation

Individual compensation is determined by several factors, including education, experience, training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications, and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance.

The salary range for this position is $175,000-$210,000 annually.
