Position: Construction Project Executive
Reports to: Chief Construction Officer
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay Range: $175,000 - $250,000

Superior is looking for a Project Executive to lead and grow several large electrical construction projects for multiple customers. The Project Executive will oversee a team of Project Operations personnel, achieve project KPIs, mitigate risk, resolve tough challenges, and work directly with customers, trade partners, and company executives. This role is based on a jobsite in Detroit, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the entire lifecycle of one or several major projects - from preconstruction to construction to closeout - for multiple customers
- Work closely with the Project Operations and Field Operations personnel to drive our projects forward and resolve challenges
- Collaborate with Department Leaders and teams across the organization
- Oversee the financial performance and risk management of each project
- Represent the company in principal meetings with customers and subcontractors
- Serve as a strategic partner to customers and nurture senior-level relationships
- Actively participate in business development and new business pursuits
- Invest in the professional development of Project Operations team members
- Uphold a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite
Your Character Traits- You're a leader and are effective at interfacing with customers and executives
- You're a great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our jobsites and organization
- You're organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail
- You're skilled in motivating and mentoring junior colleagues
Your Expertise- Required: You have at least 15 years of experience in commercial project management, including experience on large scale, complex commercial projects
- Required: You're experienced with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects from $100M+
- Required: You're comfortable with presenting during business pitches, company meetings, and industry events
- Required: You're familiar with crisis management and rapid response
- Required: You have extensive knowledge in construction management and project finance
- Required: You are knowledgeable in industry codes, standards, requirements, and methods
- Bonus Points: You earned your Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, Construction Management Program certificate, or another related degree
