• Join our talented team to support highway project field inspections and oversite, working alongside an established team to expand our presence throughout the Florida Panhandle

• Inspect construction on highway and transportation projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.

• Document the day-to-day field and inspection activities, material sampling and testing, and measuring of quantities.

• Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress, and conflict resolution meetings, negotiate and prepare construction change orders.

• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and other SEH personnel.

• Candidates with skills in AutoCAD or Microstation will participate in production activities while in the office

• May assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules and completing constructability reviews

Essential Qualifications:

• This opportunity is open to candidates located near Tallahassee, Panama City, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Myers, Florida, or surrounding locations

• High School Diploma or GED

• Strong experience in the construction field serving as a Construction Project Representative or related role.

• Must have good communication skills and be able to work independently.

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to walk and climb over rough terrain associated with construction sites.

• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site observations, etc. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Construction Project Representative on FDOT, County and/or Municipal construction projects involving earthwork, concrete and bituminous paving, site improvements, and street/utility construction.

• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field.

• Possession of applicable FDOT Technical Certifications or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment

• Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
