Job Description:We are seeking a skilled
Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and service on John Deere and Caterpillar equipment. This role is a
full-time travelling position to various project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, especially in heavy equipment, along with experience in welding and fabricating. We are a rapidly growing construction company that values skill, reliability, and pride in workmanship. Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as undercarriages.
- Fabricate and weld parts, components, and attachments as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
- Coordinate with field crews and supervisors to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime.
Preferred Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment.
- Class B CDL for driving company service truck.
- Proficient in welding and fabricating techniques.
- Ability to work independently, outdoors, and lift heavy parts or tools.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and punctual.
Compensation and Benefits:- $40-60+ per hour depending on experience - some project locations require you to join the local Operators' Union
- Per diem including housing when traveling
