Description

The Construction Manager plans, coordinates, and oversees all construction, installation, and field operations for assigned projects under the direction of the Project Manager or Director. This role is responsible for successful project execution through effective management of internal teams, subcontractors, resources, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements across diverse project environments. (This purpose is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:
• Plan, coordinate, oversee, and inspect all phases of construction, renovation, installation, upgrade, and maintenance projects utilizing internal crews and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, technical, and project teams to develop project plans, layouts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site assessments and pre-construction surveys to evaluate field conditions, site readiness, access requirements, resource availability, and project risks.
• Coordinate permitting, access agreements, regulatory approvals, inspections, and other authorizations required for project execution.
• Serve as the company representative with customers, vendors, contractors, regulatory agencies, facility representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee construction and installation activities, ensuring work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Inspect completed work and coordinate testing, commissioning, validation, and quality assurance activities to verify project readiness and acceptance.
• Coordinate and support field personnel, technical teams, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain schedules and achieve project milestones.
• Manage customer, vendor, and internal team coordination to ensure efficient project sequencing and successful project delivery.
• Ensure customer standards, company procedures, quality expectations, and safety requirements are consistently followed.
• Prepare cost estimates, develop project budgets, and monitor project expenditures.
• Coordinate implementation activities, site walk-throughs, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and subcontractor scheduling.
• Manage project materials, equipment, receiving, staging, inventory, and distribution.
• Coordinate daily activities and provide leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee invoice review, billing support, and project documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction management, infrastructure projects, field operations, engineering services, utility construction, or related industries.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction, installation, maintenance, or infrastructure deployment projects.
• Experience coordinating installation, commissioning, maintenance, or technical deployment activities preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods, project controls, safety requirements, scheduling, budgeting, and field operations management.
• Experience with project management, design, estimating, scheduling, and documentation software preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
