GFT is seeking a
Construction Manager - Roadway and Bridges to join our Construction Services Team in
Chicago or Rockford, IL! This role requires regular attendance at our
Chicagoand/or Rockford, IL office.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: - Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
- Prepares and monitors project schedules.
- Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
- Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
- Prepares reports and correspondence.
- Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
- Prepares construction payment applications.
- Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
- Reviews submittals and other technical data.
- Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
- Performs constructibility reviews and value engineering studies.
- Assists with Risk Management assessments.
- Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
What you will bring to our firm: - BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- IDOT Documentation Certification, required.
- 7+ years of experience.
- Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
- 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Compensation:The salary range for this role is $98,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
