Your new role

As our new Construction Manager, you will be part of our Project Management Group based out of Syracuse, NY

Your key responsibilities will be:
• Assist in development of plans, schedules, and work alongside other superintendents, supervisors, administrators on project related activities.
• Actively works with the Senior Construction Manager in the management of the overall project construction scope, schedule, and budget.
• Responsible for leadership of the on-site project team management for smaller scale projects.
• Responsible for subcontractor contract management in coordination with the Senior Construction Manager.
• Assist Senior Construction Manager and Project Management teams with the change order process including proper notification, supporting data gathering/organization development for Project Manager review and processing.
• Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
• Serve as Project Site Safety Leader (in absence of full time EHS Supervisor).
• Estimates cost of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to successfully manage change during a project.
• Assists in planning the execution of the startup, commissioning, and closeout processes.
• Adheres to the policies and standards set forth in our quality management practices.

Qualifications

Associate degree with 2+ years relevant years of experience, or a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, with experience in managing multi-discipline construction projects. Candidates must have demonstrated heavy civil construction experience, including mass earthwork, retaining wall systems, ground water management, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Ability to read plans/drawings/specifications and interpret data.
• Construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, means and methods.
• Local Travel of 10%
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred)
• OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification (preferred)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 yearly. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
