About this position:

About the Position
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all Civil Works activities on assigned projects, including financial control, scheduling, Service Provider (SP) and Approved Service Provider (ASP) management, and Quality Management. This role ensures compliance with company standards, processes, and all Federal and Local regulations, while actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Interfaces
  • External: Service Providers (SP), Approved Service Providers (ASP), Customer Project Manager (PM)
  • Internal: Implementation Manager (IM) Lead, Project Administrator, Project Sponsor, Construction Project Manager (CPM)

Core Responsibilities
  • Control and validate site-related costs against approved designs.
  • Ensure only customer-approved materials are installed and Civil Works schedules and guidelines are followed.
  • Coordinate and attend project progress and alignment meetings.
  • Provide on-site supervision where there is risk to customer operations or service performance.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting safety inspections and verifying tools and equipment condition.
  • Troubleshoot Civil Works issues and drive resolution during project execution.
  • Coordinate all site activities to ensure alignment across disciplines and adherence to project objectives.
  • Monitor schedules, identify risks, and resolve delays or conflicts.
  • Ensure Service Providers, vendors, and suppliers meet technical specifications and contractual quality standards.
  • Enforce compliance with Federal, Local, and customer safety and construction requirements.
  • Conduct site pre-inspections, post-construction audits, and on-site quality inspections.
  • Provide regular progress reports and accurate status updates to project management.
  • Offer technical guidance to Service Providers and suppliers as needed.
  • Reject non-compliant materials and report performance or quality issues.
  • Ensure correct interpretation and execution of civil design plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate all Civil Works-related activities and interfacing teams.
  • Lead teams with a focus on quality, efficiency, and results.
  • Manage claims, material orders, and returns.

Systems and Documentation
Maintain and update construction-related data in Site Handler, including:
  • Statement of Work (SOW), Notice to Proceed (NTP), Radio Frequency Design Sheet (RFDS), safety documentation, and Quality Assurance (QA) standards
  • Verification of NTP receipt
  • Review and management of RFDS submissions and revisions
  • Civil Works acceptance documentation (submission, review, approval)
  • Daily Progress Field Acceptance (PFA) tracking and verification
  • Close-out documentation review and final sign-off

Role Expectations
The Construction Manager operates independently, applying strong analytical skills to solve complex problems by adapting established methods and processes. The role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and operational changes.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing large-scale project builds (200+ sites)
  • Reports to Construction Manager (Lead) or Implementation Manager (IM) Lead
