Full Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager Lead to guide federal facility recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii from early assessment through construction. Initial field evaluations may identify damaged structures, roofs, building envelopes, utilities, and access routes; subsequent work may include weatherproofing, water removal, debris clearance, power support, and permanent repairs. You will turn those findings into coordinated scopes and priorities, lead construction managers and subcontractors, and keep field execution aligned with safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations. This role calls for clear decisions when urgent needs and changing site conditions compete for resources.
This role will require an onsite presence in Kauai, Hawaii and is eligible for per diem related expenses when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead onsite construction management across facility repairs, building envelope restoration, utilities, and related infrastructure work.
• Translate assessment findings into executable scopes, sequencing plans, and construction priorities.
• Direct construction managers and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, budget, and progress and resolve issues that threaten delivery.
• Review construction plans, submittals, requests for information, change proposals, and field documentation.
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and recovery actions to internal and federal project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field and 10+ years of leading complex facility or infrastructure construction and repair programs including 2 years of leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
• 20+ years of leading complex facility or infrastructure construction and repair programs.
• Experience leading federal facility construction or storm recovery programs.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
