Job DescriptionJMT is seeking a Construction Engineer to be responsible for assisting and managing our Construction Inspection business and providing Construction Management services in the Northeast Pennsylvania region.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Assist both the CM and CI Directors with marketing and business development for transportation construction projects
- Assist with project management
- Assist with project QA/QC in the assigned region
- Maintains and builds client relationships
- Assist the CM/CI Directors with training and developing our field staff, and conduct performance reviews for staff
- Provide Construction Management Services to clients in the Northeast PA region
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities- Assist design disciplines with constructability questions/issues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills- Strong computer literacy skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Practical construction management capabilities
- Active driver's license and reliable motor vehicle
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Required Experience- Experience working with local clients including PennDOT, PTC, and local municipalities and entities
- 20+ years of experience working in the Construction Management, Construction Inspection or Construction Engineering field
Preferred Experience- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or BSCET or BSCM or closely related field)
- Professional Engineering license in PA

Working ConditionsWork is performed within a general office, construction field office or on a construction project site environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing, climbing and walking. Within the office environment, most locations provide an environment where lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
