Job Description

HilltopHoldings is looking to hire a Construction Manager. This position oversees the completion of corporate and field related construction projects, which will include both new construction and remodels. Success in this role requires communication, negotiation and relationship skills that support the active management of the existing network along with the ability to add new partners where necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the construction related needs of assigned business units by scheduling and managing projects that are identified and approved by leadership.
  • Manage contractor network by making personal visits to sites, setting expectations and actively pursuing improvements to the network.
  • Scheduling project work in a manner that meets expected deadlines without introducing unnecessary distractions for the business by leveraging relationships with assigned General Contractors.
  • Provide project related guidance and insight by participating in the bid review process.
  • Other functions as needed.


Qualifications

  • Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision or guidance.
  • Must be able to manage several projects at one time while paying close attention to details within the contracts and timelines.
  • General knowledge of commercial construction management gained through approximately 10 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management engineering or similar course of study is preferred.
  • Current Professional Engineer designation is preferred.
  • Ability to travel ( ).
