Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager in Austin, Texas

We are seeking experienced Construction Managers to oversee vertical construction projects within the concourse and terminal areas at AUS. This role will support both new construction and renovation efforts, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, regulatory standards, and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all phases of vertical construction within concourse and terminal areas, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities with contractors and a broad range of stakeholders, including the AUS executive team, Airlines, Operations, and Environmental teams.
  • Review and evaluate contractor schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Support the change management process by assessing proposed changes and facilitating necessary approvals.
  • Navigate and interpret design documents, technical specifications, and contract requirements with accuracy and confidence.
  • Ensure construction activities meet minimum code requirements and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Provide field oversight and documentation, including daily inspection reports and tracking deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with inspectors and project managers to verify installed quantities and support pay application reviews.
  • Be available for occasional night-time work as required by project schedules or operational needs.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on vertical building projects.
  • Must show a track record of multi-level projects involving complex structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, and large-scale HVAC/MEP systems.
  • Experience executing major building works inside fully operational, high-occupancy environments without disrupting existing passenger or vehicle traffic flows.
  • Ability to successfully pass a TSA criminal background check.
  • Strong understanding of environmental codes and regulatory requirements relevant to airport construction.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Primavera 6 and SharePoint Familiarity with building codes and standards, and ability to interpret design documents and contract specifications.
  • Valid Driver's License
