  • Conduct orientation sessions for new subcontractors and manage on-site activities through meetings.
  • Monitor safety compliance and address any infractions during site inspections.
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports on project status, including safety and compliance issues.

Job Summary

Food Techis seeking a high-performing Construction Managerto oversee the full lifecycle of complex, design-built food and beverage production facility projects. Operating out of Rockland, MAoffices, you will assume total ownership of project sites-managing master schedules, supervising trade subcontractors, and ensuring strict quality and OSHA safety compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Maintaining and tracking master project schedule.
  • Assuming ownership of project schedule upon mobilization.
  • Creating and maintaining three-week lookahead schedule.
  • Reviewing project budget with Project Manager on a regular basis.
  • Assisting Project Manager with locating and evaluating potential subcontractors.
  • Reviewing and understanding the Scope of Work of each subcontractor as developed by the Project Manager/Design Team.
  • Working closely with building officials to request needed inspections.
  • Overseeing orientation of new subcontractors.
  • Scheduling, sequencing and coordinating trade subcontractors and owner vendors
  • Conducting weekly on-site subcontractor meetings(and additional meetings as needed) to coordinate on-site activities.
  • Supervising trade subcontractors
  • Walking project site routinely to confirm work is being completed safely and meets FT schedule and quality standards.
  • Ensuring the submitted and reviewed materials are being correctly incorporated into construction.
  • Resolving subcontractor disputes or conflicts.
  • Identifying conflicts/omissions; addressing directly with FT Design Team for resolution.
  • Ensuring site safety requirements are always met; assisting on-site safety personnel with addressing infractions/violations when identified.
  • Preparing daily site reports.
  • Assisting project manager with monthly project reports addressing updates on project permitting, schedule, budget, quality issues, customer needs, etc.
  • Implementing and executing punch-list procedures.
  • Setting up and closing out construction site.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 10+years of relevant experience in food production facility construction, including overall responsibility for project site activities or recent completion of five(5) food production facilities.
  • Experience with design-build method a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Computer/Technology literate(MS-Office products, MS-Project, Procore, etc.)
  • OSHA 10/30 Training.
  • Always focus on customer satisfaction; exceed customer expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, positive attitude.
  • Display 'firm but fair' relationships with subcontractors.
  • Communicate challenges early and often.
