Trueline is seeking a Heavy Civil / Highway Construction Estimator to join their team in Sabattus, Maine. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to help shape project strategy, influence company growth, and work closely with ownership on critical infrastructure and site development projects.

What You'll Do as the Heavy Civil / Highway Construction Estimator:
  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and competitive bid submissions for heavy civil and infrastructure projects
  • Review plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents to assess project requirements
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and trucking costs
  • Evaluate project risks, constructability challenges, and pricing opportunities
  • Participate in project pursuit decisions and bid strategy discussions with company leadership
  • Solicit, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Prepare bid packages, clarifications, alternates, and proposal documentation
  • Support project turnover, budgeting, and cost code development following award
  • Assist with change order pricing and project financial reviews as needed
  • Recommend process improvements and help strengthen estimating best practices across the organization
  • Serve as a collaborative resource for operations, project management, and executive leadership

Must-Haves as the Heavy Civil / Highway Construction Estimator:
  • 5+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil, highway, site development, or infrastructure construction
  • Strong experience estimating excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, paving, or roadway projects
