Full Job Description
Marathon Petroleum Company's Anacortes Washington Refinery is seeking a Construction Coordinator. The Construction Coordinator will report to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for coordinating construction projects of various sizes and scopes with multiple contract companies while keeping both schedule and budget on track.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates scope development and execution of non-turnaround construction events in conjunction with key stakeholders ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Participates in project reviews providing constructability input to the engineering design. Differentiates between construction versus turnaround phase project scope. Understands the general construction sequence.
  • Assists Engineering in the Construction Work Package (CWP) Matrix development. Validates construction start and stop dates against CWP Issued For Construction (IFC) dates and material delivery dates.
  • Communicates with Construction Manager and Engineering regarding schedule impact associated with late CWP/IFC deliverables.
  • Coordinates P6 execution planning with contractor planners. Prioritizes planning sequence to support overall project development.
  • Conducts CWP field walks with execution contractor planners to ensure complex scope is fully understood.
  • Reviews P6 plans for manhour accuracy, planning logic and contractor resources.
  • Work with project Scheduler to verify logic between CWPs and CWP milestones is correctly tied within the master schedule.
  • Collaborates with Operations to develop equipment outage timelines as they pertain to non-turnaround construction scope.
  • Works with execution contractors and Engineering to help resolve Requests for Information (RFI) during planning and execution phases.
  • Reviews weekly Project Controls and Scheduler progress reports. Identifies areas of concern and generate corrective actions.
  • Meets weekly with assigned contractors to review safety issues, contractor key performance metrics, manpower levels and manpower hiring plans.
  • Supports project turnover process as needed to close out project scope.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in the refining or petrochemical industry required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to periodically support TAR and Maintenance needs.
