Position Overview:The Controller will lead the accounting function for a growing construction firm, driving accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
• Key Responsibilities:- Manage month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Perform job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billing
- Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
- Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership on financial strategy
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and insurance requirements
- Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate payroll and benefits reporting
Qualifications:• Strong background in construction accounting
• Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and related ERP tools
• CPA preferred but not required
• Knowledge of GAAP and construction industry compliance standards
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills
