Role Scope- - Negotiate and close EPC, design-build, and GMP contracts for multi-hundred-megawatt data center builds, structuring terms that hold speed, cost, and risk in balance across concurrent sites.
- - Build the contract templates and playbooks that turn one-off negotiations into a repeatable kit deployed across every site in the pipeline.
- - Own change orders and claims from first notice to resolution, keeping cost and schedule exposure visible to delivery leads before it lands on the critical path.
- - Structure subcontractor and vendor agreements that lock pricing and lead times against a build calendar measured in months, not years.
- - Quarterback across legal, finance, procurement, and site delivery to move a contract from term sheet to signature in weeks.
What We're Looking For- **The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.**
- - You've personally negotiated and closed large construction contracts (EPC, design-build, GMP, or lump-sum) on capital projects, and you held the terms when a counterparty pushed back mid-build.
- - You've resolved change orders and construction claims worth millions without letting them stall the schedule or blow up the counterparty relationship.
- - You read a construction contract for the risk that shows up eighteen months later, not just the price on signing day.
- - You've built contract templates or playbooks that let a team run the same deal structure again and again instead of starting from a blank page each time.
- - You quarterback across legal, finance, and field teams, and you're the person others call when a contract is stuck.
- - You keep every term, exhibit, and amendment tracked cleanly across a portfolio of concurrent projects, and nothing gets lost in the noise.
- - **Bonus:** Data center or mission-critical construction. Behind-the-meter or utility-scale power projects. Modular or productized build delivery. Working with AHJs and permitting authorities.
