Construction Assistant Project ManagerNew York, NY
Candidate should have over 3 years of construction experience, with expertise in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist the Project Manager in managing RFIs, submittals, schedules, budgets, scope changes, and other project documents using Procore.
- Support communication with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the project.
- Participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders to report on project progress.
- Communicate project risks to the Project Manager and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate project meetings with internal staff, stakeholders, and external parties.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team.
- Assist in developing and managing project schedules using MS Project.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure updates are documented and reported.
- Interpret and review construction drawings and documentation.
- Assist in preparing and submitting specifications as required.
- Support the design process to help ensure timely delivery of quality and budget-conscious documents.
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts for upcoming project activities.
- Assist in developing bid packages and soliciting proposals as per client policies.
Essential Skills and Abilities: - Cultivate relationships within client organizations to coordinate work and make decisions effectively.
- Demonstrate exceptional organization, with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive and independent work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam and Procore.
- Ability to comprehend ARCH & MEP drawings and reports, with a focus on identifying potential improvements for project implementation.
Required Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
- Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
- 3-5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
- Experience in corporate interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year (commensurate with skills & experience)
