Full Job Description
The Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Administrator III to join our Federal Team and lead complex, projects that make a difference. In this senior-level role, you'll oversee construction administration activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, budgets, schedules, and quality standards while collaborating closely with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients, while also mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the construction administration of large-scale or complex projects, ensuring full compliance with contracts, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with contractors, design teams, and clients, managing communications and resolving escalated project issues independently.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to verify progress, evaluate quality, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee review and processing of construction documents, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Lead construction meetings with stakeholders to review progress, align deliverables, and resolve conflicts.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train Construction Administration Assistants (Level 1), CA I (Level 2), and CA II (Level 3) team members, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
  • Direct project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch list management, and preparation of lessons learned reports.
  • Provide input into improving organizational standards, workflows, and best practices in construction administration.


Qualifications

Required
  • Advanced understanding of construction processes, techniques, and quality assurance standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contracts, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, project management, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.


Preferred
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCM, LEED, PMP) or advanced credentials.
  • Prior experience leading administration of large or complex construction projects.
