Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking for a Consolidations Accounting Manager located in Austin, TX to join our Corporate Accounting team!

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting the Consolidations Accounting Manager role will be responsible for establishing operational objectives and managing financial accounting and control.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Prepare and post top-side journal entries and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation accounting close process.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and perform variance analysis on certain critical accounts. 
  • Perform technical research on various accounting issues and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP.
  • Oversight of other general departmental-specific responsibilities including, among others, variance analyses tied to monthly close and compliance with the internal control requirements of SOX.
  • Manage complex accounting processes including fixed asset impairment, GAAP vs. Non-GAAP review, restructuring charges
  • Assist with preparation of financials and related workpaper required for 8K/earnings release.
  • Support the Corporate Accounting team with technical assessments of non-standard transactions and lead or participate in special projects as needed
  • Correspond directly with internal and external auditors and provide requested schedules to auditors to support necessary audit requirements.
  • Manage and develop direct report, training them in consolidation related items and providing exposure to wider corporate accounting activities.

What we're looking to add to our team:

  • Ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years relevant experience; master's in accounting preferred
  • CPA Certification with Big 4 experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing the monthly, quarterly and annual close process including the preparation of consolidated financial statements and perform variance analysis on certain critical accounts.
  • Ability to manage complex accounting processes including restructuring, fixed asset impairments, and GAAP vs. Non-GAAP.
  • Ability to lead in SOX compliance processes, policies and procedures including the policies and the quality execution for Consolidation reporting.
  • Demonstrate the foundational skills in managing teams (internal and external) and processes. This includes the ability to lead teams, coordinate tasks, and ensure that processes are followed efficiently and effectively.
