Job Duties:

This positionmanages a key programof the Wisconsin Child Welfare Partnership for Professional Development-UW Milwaukee (WCWPDS-UWM) that is housed in the Dept. of Social Work in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. Its main function is tomanagetraining andprofessional development forCongregate Care Staff, Relative, Adoptive, and Foster Parents throughout Wisconsin.This is a highly visible position with significant responsibility for team leadership, instruction, program and curriculum planning, and management of statewide partner relationships.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

35%Plan and oversee professional development/trainingofferings

1.Oversee annual professional development calendar, including trainers and locations as needed

2.Oversee marketing/communication

3.Oversee evaluation processes

4.Develop and lead projects/new curriculum

30%Develop and oversee funder, customer, and inter-state collaborations

1.Develop and enhance partnerships with array of customer groups

2.Lead andparticipatein statewide practice and strategic initiatives

3.Oversee communication, reporting and project/budget planning with DCF and other funders

20%Supervise staff

1.Coaching anddevelopCRAFT team

2.Lead staff meetings

15%Participate on WCWPDS-UWM management team

1.Collaborate with other WCWPDS management staff in creating and managing program procedures and solving problems as needed

2.Collaborate with other WCWPDS programs on cross-program initiatives/offerings

3.Lead/participatein management team development activities

Lead/participateonmanagement team subcommittees as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor27s degree from an accredited college/university in adult education,child development,familysystems,child/family policy,socialworkor other fielddirectly relatedto the responsibilities of the position
  • Professional experience with adult education, curriculum development, learning evaluation and/or other aspects of professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienceserving children, youth and/or families in home or out-of-homesetting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, child abuse and neglect,parenting practices, WIstatelicensingand training requirements for alternate caregivers
  • Experience hiring,trainingand supervising professional staff

Target Salary Range:

The target hiring range to $79,000 to$90,000annually.Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
