  • Manage SCRs throughout the entire change process and lead Change Control Board meetings.
  • Deliver weekly status reports on changes, both planned and unplanned.
  • Recommending policy changes and establishing procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Current or active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required with ability to obtain a Polygraph is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Configuration/ System Change Manager in San Antonio, Texas.   • Lead bi-weekly meetings to review and approve system changes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to evaluate and recommend the best Configuration Management (CM) tools.

 

Highlights of Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Improve and lead the configuration management processes for effective control and capture of configuration changes.
  • Maintain an accurate and compliant CMDB or PDM, reflecting "as-configured state" and historical configurations.
  • Conduct baseline identification, change control, status accounting, and configuration reviews.
  • Maintain and execute comprehensive change implementation plans, including validation steps, escalation plans, and rollback methods.
  • Oversee the SCR database and bi-weekly Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Manage SCRs through the entire change process and lead CCB meetings for reviewing change requests.
  • Administer program CCB and Technical Review Board (TRB) meetings.
  • Ensure standardized methods, processes, and procedures for handling changes.
  • Deliver weekly status reports on planned/unplanned changes.
  • Inform program leadership of discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Recommend policy changes and establish procedures.
  • Evaluate CM tools and recommend the best options.
