Configuration Management Specialist
Job Location: Houston, TX
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
Essential Functions:
Establishes, implements, and verifies compliance to NASA configuration management policies, requirements, and procedures
Prepares configuration management documentation
Establishes and maintains all systems for configuration identification, control, verification, and accounting
Monitors and audits other program elements and contractors adherence to configuration management requirements and procedures
Process changes throughout the entire lifecycle of a change, change request (CR) receipt, coordination with the mandatory evaluators, tracking, board support, directive generation and action tracking to closure.
Provide CM support for all HH&P sanctioned boards, panels and specific ad hoc directorate meetings as needed.
Provide CM Secretarial/administrative support that includes the following: meeting logistics, agenda development and coordination, board meetings, Telecon/WebEx coordination, action tracking, and minutes
Provide for the archival and maintenance of all presentation materials and decisional items for all HH&P Control Boards and Panels
Establish and maintain the HH&P CM Receipt Desk. The CM Receipt Desk shall be the conduit for all CM related data entering and exiting the HH&P Directorate.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Working knowledge of NASA Configuration Management Guidelines, principles, and processes
