Full Job Description
MIKEL is currently looking for an experienced Configuration Management Specialist III to support our AN/BYG-1 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Support AN/BYG-1 CM/ILS in any tasks required including:
  • Developing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Certifications primarily with research of data and data entry in Navy Data Environment (NDE).
  • Developing Engineering Change Documentation (ECD) and integrating with other groups within our division to obtain data and ensure its accuracy (BYG-1 Hardware, BYG-1 Systems Engineering, BYG-1 Installations, etc.).
  • Develop Configuration Overhaul Planning (COP), maintenance and completion work-files in the Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) databases and submit to the Navy Configuration Data Manager (CDM) and. Conduct functional and physical configuration audits of hardware and software.
  • Attend BYG-1 CM/ILS group meetings as required, including the CM/ILS Team Meeting and Platform Installation Schedule/Media Delivery/ECI Status Meeting.
  • Positively interfacing with other activities (Program Sponsors, Naval Sea Logistics Center, NUWC Keyport, etc.) as required.
  • Maintain current and correct CM/ILS/Installation data including status of ECD, completions of tasks and boat schedules.
  • Completing any other tasks requested by team leads to support the completion of CM/ILS products, such as assisting in the maintaining and organization of the CM/ILS area of the AN/BYG-1 Collaborative Environment, supporting CM documentation development and approval, and obtaining access to all databases required for completion of tasks.
  • Develop, update and distribute weekly/bi-weekly CM reports.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) physical inspections of software received from source providers and ensure the software meets requirements.
  • Conduct routine spot checks with ISEA 040 and develop Planned Maintenance System Service Requests (PSR) in accordance with Naval Sea Logistics Command (NSLC) requirements.
  • Manage a track all new and revised PMS documentation to help support In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) 040 with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts.
  • Support Maintenance Requirements Card (MRC) Validation/Verification test events.
  • No travel is required for this position.

Required Skills:
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and to take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner as required to support upcoming installations and deadlines
  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and software; proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 year' experience Navy DoD logistics
  • Bachelors level degree in any field
  • Previously served as submarine FT officer
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance experience
  • Experience with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) subsystems and processes.
  • CM Pro or other Navy CM database experience
