Configuration Management Specialist (Aerospace)Location: Tempe - 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281 (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time, day shift
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
Key Responsibilities- Establish, maintain, and control product configuration baselines (functional, allocated, and product baselines)
- Manage Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Deviations/Waivers, and Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities
- Perform configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and verification/audits
- Ensure full traceability of hardware, software, and documentation
- Support major program milestones including MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) reviews, and First Article Inspections/qualifications
- Interface with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams
- Maintain configuration data in PLM systems
- Conduct formal configuration audits (PCA, FCA) and support customer audits
- Ensure compliance with industry, customer standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain CM plans, processes, and procedures
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of Configuration Management experience in the aerospace or defense industry
- Strong working knowledge of configuration management principles and best practices
- Experience with PLM/ERP tools (Syteline preferred)
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (ITAR / EAR compliance)
Preferred Qualifications- CMII Certification or equivalent
- Experience supporting civil or military programs
- Knowledge of Model-Based Engineering (MBE)
- Experience with software configuration management
